Maybe it was due to nerves but she was constantly looking towards Kate & Jacqueline, holding on to their hands and giving nervious laughs or giggles.

Another wonderful moment was Dick Clark's tribute and his speech. It was very emotional not only, to me, but to the whole audience. It was also great to see Barry Manilow sing the Bandstand theme song. He made Dick Clark very happy.elsiehogarthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00896412345257527128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10109540.post-1156780169952528412006-08-28T11:49:00.000-04:002006-08-28T11:49:00.000-04:00Caro, I did not make it that far. Was it inspiring or scary? LOL

Tori... Yup. :)Beth Ciottahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02251212401535078560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10109540.post-1156778788330014282006-08-28T11:26:00.000-04:002006-08-28T11:26:00.000-04:00How is it that a show boasting wonderful actors an...How is it that a show boasting wonderful actors and AMAZING writing was passed over?

That is the $64,000 question. I found that most of the actors didn't want to be there. During the red carpet, it felt that since some of them didn't have anything better to do that was the only reason they were there. Next year, I'll just tape it and fast forward it.elsiehogarthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00896412345257527128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10109540.post-1156774860549498312006-08-28T10:21:00.000-04:002006-08-28T10:21:00.000-04:00How is it that a show boasting wonderful actors an... How is it that a show boasting wonderful actors and AMAZING writing was passed over?

That's the question that's asked every year. Every so often, the outcry gets really loud and the Emmy folks change the voting process or the nominating process. The result is that you'll get one or two interesting nominees but everything else will be business as usual because the same old shows get nominated year after year after year until they go off the air. (Look at the West Wing and Will & Grace nomination history.)

Did you make it through to see Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert? One of the best moments of the show. "I lost to Barry Manilow!"Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
