Places to Go, People to Read - Day 5

For the past three days Blogger has failed to provide me with some previously offered options, like centering, font size and color. Any other blogger user having that problem?

On another note, pancakes make me nauseous. I think it's the syrup. But what are pancakes without syrup? Anyway, I only have them once in a blue moon. Yesterday there was a blue moon. Spent the morning writing. Didn't eat breakfast. So I stopped at the diner on the way to the library to have lunch. Eggs, toast and home fries... with a side of pancakes. I know. That's a lot of food. But I was starving and it's a good thing I fueled up because that's all I ate all day. Worked late. Came home and wrote. As for the pancakes, they were worth the upset stomach. Delicious!

Deadline update: I'm getting there.

My Heritage
Brooks turned me on to this site. Very cool. You have to register, but it takes five seconds and it's free. One of the services offered is 'Face Recognition'. Upload your picture and it will scan files and display a photo of the celebrity you most resemble. Brooks was matched up with Kevin Smith! *g* The program matched me up with Erica Durance. It displayed our photos side-by-side. Wow. Strong resemblance. At least in the photo shown. I looked her up because I didn't know who she was. Her credits include features on 'Smallville' as Lois Lane.

Click here and look for Face Recognition. If you do it, let us know which celeb you resemble! In the meantime, it's another day of writing, library, and writing for me. No pancakes.

Good Lord, Beth, you ALWAYS have pancakes when we go to that diner for breakfast. How come I never knew before now that they make you nauseous? Are you sure it's the syrup and not just the volume of food you've put into your teeny stomach?

I suffer in silence, M. Some people suffer for their art. Me? pancakes. Love 'em. Refuse to give them up. I'm pretty sure it's the syrup that upsets my stomach, not the volume of food. Happens even if the meal is pancakes period. Can't deal with Fettucini Alfredo anymore, either. Although that makes me feel much worse than pancakes. Think it's the creamy sauce. *Sigh* Remember when you were a kid and you could eat anything??

Did you try out the face recognition thing??? Do tell!

Ooooh, I'll have to try this when I get home...

Disclaimer: I am not a medical doctor, or qualified to give medical advice.
What follows is my personnal opinion.

Pancakes? Syrup? How about butter? Alfredo sauce= heavy cream. So, sugar and creamy sauces probably overtax the ol' gallbladder (=nausea). There is a Shiatsu reflex point that can be worked, to stimulate the gallbladder. Call me.

Okay, I did the face recognition thing. According to the results, I have the highest percentage match with a young Israeli model/actress named Moran Atias; actress Kate Beckinsale (Hmm, she starred opposite hottie Hugh Jackman in Van Helsing. I'd take that role, ridiculous bustier outfit in the Romanian snow and all); and (wait for it) porn star Linda Lovelace.

My matches ranged from the girl who plays Hermione in the Harry Potter movies to Goldie Hawn...

I think I'm flattered.

Sure, I HAD to try the face recognition thing.
Finish writing my book? HA!

Damn linkies.

Anyway...closest match was Sophie Ellis-Bextor. I also matched with Alicia Silverstone. And...(this will drive me to the liquor cabinet)...Britney Spears.

Dang, Crystal, Anna, and Mary... you got matched with TWO celebrities? Me only got one. Sigh. At any rate, it's fun to see who they matched you up to. Gives me a great visual. :)
