Back to the Real World

Popping in to let you know I'm back in the states. Got home late last night and today it's back to our normal, busy lives. Steve already left for work and I'm leaving for the library very soon. Tonight I'll be chained to the computer, cramming on that dratted synopsis and sweating tomorrow's deadline. Wee bit stressed just now. Will post about our adventures in England (along with pics) in the coming week. Also forthcoming an update on the publishing world as I know it. Any particular topics you'd like me to touch on? Post them here or shoot me a private email. I'll be happy to oblige.

Welcome back! I'm glad you had such a fabulous trip! (I did just find out about on the day you come back, but oh well....)

For some reason, my crazy internet was not letting me access your blog. I am the Queen of Technical Difficulties.

Anyway, glad you had such a great time!!!

Welcome back Beth! Glad you had fun! Any special places you'd recommend for a family with kids 19 and 22? As far as publishing news...have you read any of the books nominated for RWA's RITA awards? I'm only sorry yours haven't been nominated. (I know you won a Golden Heart though). Your books are certainly good enough to be nominated! Better than many others I've read!

Thank you, Cyndi. Hoping to get back into the swing of things by week's end. :)

Hi Jenn! So glad you enjoyed SCANDALOUS SPIRITS. Cyndi and I had a blast writing it. Below Roni mentions the RWA Golden Heart. SS happens to be the story that finaled in that contest. A thrill of a liftime for Cyndi and I.

Stacie, you had trouble getting here? Rats. I hope that's not happening for other people. Hmm. Anyway, glad you were able to make it in. :)

Glad your back.... you know, missed my Beth C fix. :-)

Take your time on updating us on the trip--your writer deadlines are more important (takes someone under deadline to know). Ha!

Welcome back, Beth! So happy that you and Steve had a great time in "Merry Ole England". You can tell us all about your trip, next Tuesday, at "Spring Fling".

Chiming in now from work aka The Real Job. Worked on the synopsis from 6am to 2pm. I am literally one page from the wrapping yet I had to stop to come to work. Hello, real world. Arg! The bulk of the synop is now in Cyndi and Mary's hand. I'll freewrite the ending on a notepad here during slow moments, will type in when I get home later tonight, along with making any suggested revisions per CPs. Then it's off to my editor. I'm going to make deadline by a nose, but I'll make it!

Welcome home, Beth!
Hugs on the synopsis. I'm sure you'll be EXTREMELY relieved to get that finished and on its way.
Look forward to hearing about your trip.
